Simon Young is the founder and director of Oakbury Fire and Security Ltd.
Simon has more than 25 years of experience working with fire and security systems. Having worked for various companies, both in the UK and abroad, Simon decided to set up his own company 15 years ago, to offer the quality of services and care that he feels are important to customers and their safety.
When he is not on site or busy in the office, Simon loves living on the coast of South Devon, where he spends his spare time with his wife and children, walking the dogs on the beach and enjoying the local cuisine.
Simon also likes to think of himself as a master of playing pool and is currently working on getting his home bar and pool room kitted out. It will of course feature the latest top quality security and fire safety features!
Nick has worked as Operations Director for just over a year. Having worked with Simon over the past seven years, he is the perfect person to work alongside Simon. Nick has a long history and experience working within the electrical trade.
Nick is a family man with 2 sons (one of them works for Oakbury as a junior engineer) who both live in the family home with him and his wife Sarah in a village in Oxfordshire. They also share their home with their dog Twix and 2 cats, Wilson and Luna.
When Nick is not at work, you can find him either enjoying the gorgeous countryside around Oxfordshire or spending quality family time in Devon- a place very close to both Nick and his wife Sarah.
Despina has worked as our office manager for just under a year and as with any company she is the cog that keeps the whole thing moving. Having worked in the banking and hospitality industries in the past, she is able to use her previous knowledge when communicating directly with customers. Despina is a keen learner and is always bugging the engineers to let her on site with them!
When she is not busy in the office, Despina loves being involved with her local amateur dramatics group, who she has been a part of for the last 10 years. She also enjoys living by the sea, having spent the first 10 years of her life living in Greece.
